| ADS is a software development and IT consulting
company that was launched in the mid-1980s. The Company was
started by a small group of former insurance company executives
as an entrepreneurial response to a need for new software for the
insurance market. The mission of the Company - to develop a new
breed of application software, using modern technologies, that can
match the competition on functionality, beat them on price, and
provide a competitive advantage to customers through shorter product
introduction times.
ADS is an Oracle Business Alliance Partner (BAP), and
is one of the relatively few companies worldwide that develop
software for the life and general insurance markets. The Company
has licensed, installed, and customized its software packages
at customer sites ranging in size from small start-ups to large
established companies.
Based in Kingston, Jamaica, ADS licenses and supports
its application software packages to customer sites located in
the Caribbean, the USA, Southeast Asia, and Africa. Customers
include life insurance companies, bancassurance companies, general
insurance companies, insurance intermediaries, and other financial
services institutions.
The team of professionals at ADS possess experience in the international
insurance industry and the competence to produce world-class application
software of the highest quality. As testament to this, several
employees have excelled in insurance education programmes run
by LOMA , and the Company has been the recipient of numerous "Excellence
Awards" from that organization.
Supplementary to its core business of developing and marketing
its own application software packages, ADS also offers software
engineering and information systems consulting services.
In the late 1990s, in further pursuit of its strategic objectives
for growth and a stronger market presence, the Company incorporated
a wholly owned subsidiary, Amerillium Systems
Inc., in Raleigh, North Carolina, USA. The primary mission
of ASI is marketing and distribution
ofADS' flagship
CIS Family of application software and the establishment
of international dealer channels for this software.
