Whilst the Company has enjoyed reasonable success with its existing
product line, ADS has also taken
into account the size of the potential market for other related
application software. In this regard, the Company is in the process
of expanding its product line, particularly targeting the general
insurance and health insurance markets. ADS
plans to have application software packages available for these
markets towards the end of 2002 and into 2003. The Company will
also be redeveloping its COVER and BROKER software packages into
Oracle-based applications. ADS is also open to the exploration
of potential joint ventures that will result in the provision
of large-scale offshore software engineering services to international
partners.
Though primarily a software developer and vendor,ADS
has not missed the significance of the emergence of the Internet
and its potential to credibly lower the cost of access to sophisticated
application software. To this end, the Company is geared to commission
application service provider (ASP) facilities on demand. This
features web-enabled versions of its CIS-LIFE,
CIS-PENSION, and CIS-GROUP
application software packages to be joined by other CIS applications
currently in development. ASP facilities are available to customers
in the USA and other English-speaking countries, leading off with
the Company's flagship CIS-LIFE application.
An ASP facility is particularly suitable for companies with limited
resources to commit to IT who are in need of world-class functionality.
Because of the boundless reach of the Internet, an ASP facility
offers the potential to bring together administration, intermediaries,
and customers in a way that is impossible with traditional channels.
Another advantage is that this offers a credible alternative for
companies contemplating the partial or complete outsourcing of
their administration to third party administered (TPA) facilities.
